Frost take down Ottawa
(Ottawa, Ontario/Minnesota News Network) — The two-time defending P-W-H-L champion Minnesota Frost dominated Ottawa last night 5-1 at T-D Place Arena. Kendall Coyne Schofield completed a hat trick with an empty-net goal late in last night’s win and Minnesota goaltender Nicole Hensley had 35 saves to pick up the victory. It was the first time the two teams had met since the Frost beat the Charge to clinch a second consecutive Walter Cup title in May. Dominique Petrie and Grace Zumwinkle also tallied goals for the Frost. Minnesota improved to 2-1 on the year and will visit Boston on Sunday afternoon at 2 P-M.
