FUNERAL SET FOR TEEN WHO DROWNED IN COTTONWOOD COUNTY LAKE

Funeral services have been set for the teen who drowned in a Cottonwood County lake earlier this month.  15-year-old Skyler Goulette died trying to retrieve a canoe paddle.  He had been canoeing with his sister when he jumped into the lake to get the paddle.  As he tried to swim back to the canoe, wind kept pushing the canoe away from him and his sister eventually lost sight of him.  A funeral will be held at the Goulette family farm near Mountain Lake Saturday.  A GoFundMe page has been set up and the money will be used for the funeral and any left over funds will go towards his sister’s college fund.  The fundraiser has raised almost $4,000 of the $20,000 goal.
