GFW SELECTS TWO SUPERINTENDENT FINALISTS

The GFW School Board selected Alan Berg and Joel Timmerman to return for a second interview for the superintendent position Monday.  The board and some staff members interviewed the candidates separately using a rating system to rank the candidates.  Berg was the top choice of both groups.  But the board picked Judd Wheatley and the staff chose Timmerman.  The board reviewed their opinions on strengths and weaknesses and reviewed the staff comments.  The board then agreed with the staff and will bring Timmerman back.  The second round of interviews is scheduled for Monday evening.  The candidates will be interviewed separately and get a tour of the GFW buildings.
