Glencoe PD/Scam Alert

The Glencoe Police Department is reporting they recently took a report of an individual who identified themselves as a law enforcement officer and called an area resident requesting money from them to pay for an outstanding warrant for their arrest.

Officials say no law enforcement agency will call you requesting money over the phone (EVER).

If you are unsure whether you have a warrant, authorities say you can always stop in at your local law enforcement agency to verify.
