Gopher Football Has Homecoming Game On Saturday

(Minnesota News Network- Minneapolis, MN) — The University of Minnesota football team will be back to practice today as it gets ready to host Purdue for Homecoming on Saturday night at 6:40 P-M. The 3-2 Golden Gophers are 1-1 in the Big Ten after this past Saturday’s 42-3 loss at number-one Ohio State. Minnesota head coach P-J Fleck says his team has responded well to the setback with productive meetings on Sunday. Fleck says the attention is now focused on winning the game this week. Purdue enters this weekend’s contest on a three-game losing streak, sitting at 2-3 overall and 0-2 in the Big Ten. Illinois knocked off the Boilermakers last Saturday 43-27.
