Gopher Football Hosting Demons Tomorrow

(Minnesota News Network- Minneapolis, MN) — The Golden Gopher football team entertains Northwestern State tomorrow at Huntington Bank Stadium. Minnesota opened the season with a 23-10 win over Buffalo last Thursday, while the visiting Demons beat Alcorn State 20-10 last Thursday. Gopher redshirt freshman wide receiver Jalen Smith of Mankato caught a 60-yard touchdown in the game and says it was a good experience to make his college football debut. He says he put in a lot of work over the offseason so it was fun to celebrate his touchdown with his teammates. Minnesota has never played Northwestern State in football. Tomorrow’s game kicks off at 11 A-M and there are tickets still available.
