Gopher Hockey Season Ends At Penn State

(University Park, PA/Minnesota News Network) — The University of Minnesota men’s hockey team got blitzed by Penn State on Wednesday night as they got handed a 6-2 defeat and their season has come to an end. For Minnesota to live to see another day, they would have needed to run the table in the Big Ten Tournament to get an automatic big to the N-C-A-A Tournament. Instead, the Nittany Lions stormed out to a 4-0 lead and never looked back. Javon Moore and Jacob Rombach scored the Gopher goals and Luca Di Pasquo suffered the loss on 34 saves. Minnesota finishes the season 11-22-3.
