Gopher Honored Again By Conference

(Minneapolis, MN/Minnesota News Network) — Graduate forward Abbey Murphy of the No. 3-ranked University of Minnesota women’s hockey team earned W-C-H-A Forward of the Week honors for the third consecutive week, the conference announced Monday. Murphy claimed her third honor in as many weeks after an eight-point weekend against Bemidji State. The graduate forward continued to etch her name in the Minnesota record books, moving into second place all-time in career points with 253. Murphy passed Natalie Darwitz to move into third place during Friday’s win before surpassing Amanda Kessel on Saturday.
