Gopher Men Get A Road Win In Iowa
Dawson Garcia scored 20 points as the Gophers beat the Hawkeyes 72-67 on Tuesday night at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Femi Odukale added 18 points as the Gophers got a win out of Iowa City for the first time since 2015. The Gophers were up double digits most of the second half by the Hawkeyes did cut the lead to 70-67 with just 30 seconds left on the clock. But Frank Mitchell his a pair of free throws to ice the victory. The Gophers are now 10-9 on the season and thanks to back to back conference wins will improve to 2-6 in the Big Ten. The Gophers return home to the U of M campus this weekend to host No. 15 Oregon on Saturday at Williams Arena.
