Gopher Men Lose To Penn State
Langston Reynolds had 18 points and seven assists, Cade Tyson scored 17 points, and Bobby Durkin made four three-pointers and scored 16 points, as Minnesota (10-12, 3-8) rallied from a 13-point deficit to tie the score in the final minute, but Penn State (10-12, 1-10) scored on a Kayden Mingo layup with 0:01 remaining to escape with a 77-75 win at the Bryce Jordan Center. Minnesota trailed by 10 points with less than four minutes remaining, but a 9-0 run pulled the Gophers within a point with 2:31 remaining, and a Reynolds free throw tied the score with 0:31 left. But the Nittany Lions ran down the clock and Mingo’s layup from the left side rolled in with one tick left to hand the Gophers their seventh straight loss. Minnesota returns home to host No. 7 Michigan State on Wednesday night. Tip from Williams Arena is at 6 P-M.
