Gopher Men Open Big Ten Tournament

(Chicago, IL/Minnesota News Network) — The Golden Gopher men’s basketball team opens Big Ten Tournament play on Wednesday night when they take on Rutgers. The Gophers finished the regular season on a high note with a 67-66 victory over Northwestern on Saturday night. That gave the Gophers a 15-16 record to finish the season and will give them a 13-4 record at Williams Arena. Rutgers was 13-18 this year and also finished the regular season with a win. They beat Penn State 74-62 on their home floor. It’s an 8 P-M tip on Wednesday night from the United Center.
