Gopher Men Survive Chicago St

The Golden Gopher men’s basketball needed a late push to survive another scare as they beat Chicago State 66-54 on Tuesday night at Williams Arena. Minnesota was down 47-45 with 6:41 left in the contest before getting hot and outscoring the Cougars 19-9 the rest of the way. Gopher head coach Nico Medved on finding a way to win when they weren’t on the top of their game.

Cade Tyson led the Gophers with 22 points while Jaylen Crocker-Johnson added 15 and Isaac Asuma contributed 14. Minnesota improves to 4-1 on the season and remain perfect at the Barn at 4-0. Chicago falls to 0-5.
