Gopher Women Drop 2nd Straight

Amaya Battle and Grace Grocholski combined to score 33 total points, but the Golden Gophers (18-5, 6-5 B1G) fell to the U-C-L-A Bruins (21-0, 9-0 B1G) 79-53 on the road Sunday afternoon. The Gophers had two players score in double figures, led by Battle, who had 21 points and two steals. Grocholski added 12 points and eight rebounds. The Minnesota defense caused its share of mistakes in Sunday’s game, forcing 13 U-C-L-A turnovers. Those takeaways turned into five points on the offensive end of the floor.
