Gopher Women Win 4th Straight

The University of Minnesota women’s basketball team poured it on early against Purdue on Sunday afternoon and never let up as they cruised to an 88-55 win at Williams Arena. The Gophers led 21-12 after one quarter and 43-23 at the half. It didn’t get any better for the Boilermakers in the second half as the Gophers continued to their pace on their way to a fourth straight win. Minnesota is now 16-6 overall and 7-4 in the Big Ten. The win also moves their record 11-2 on the season on their home floor. The Gophers are off until Thursday when they travel to Iowa City to face the Hawkeyes for a 6 P-M tip.
