Gopher Womens BB wins at Purdue

(West Lafayette, IN) — The Golden Gopher women’s basketball team earned a much-needed win on the road last night, beating Purdue 74-61. Minnesota sophomore guard Grace Grocholski scored 27 points, while senior center Sophie Hart added 22 points. The Gophers held a two-point halftime lead before outscoring the host Boilermakers by 11 points in the second half. The victory pushes Minnesota overall record to 20-8 with an 8-8 mark in the Big Ten. Purdue fell to 9-17 overall and 2-13 in the conference. The Gophers do not have another game until next Wednesday when they host the Washington Huskies at Williams Arena. Washington hosts Rutgers tonight and plays at Nebraska on Sunday.
