Gophers now losing their PG

(Minneapolis, MN) — Golden Gopher starting point guard Elijah Hawkins is backtracking and has entered the transfer portal. The Gophers starting point guard entered the portal yesterday despite announcing last week that he would be returning to Minnesota for another season. Hawkins averaged nine-and-a-half points per game last season, but he dished out seven-and-a-half assists per contest. That was the number-two in the country in assists per game. He set single game and single season record for assists. His departure leaves a large void on the team’s roster.
