Gophers Sack Cornhuskers

Golden Gopher football beat 25th-ranked Nebraska on Friday night, 24-6. The Gopher defense set a school record with nine sacks. Coach PJ Fleck on setting a school record.

Darius Taylor ran for 148 yards and a touchdown, and Drake Lindsey completed 16-of-20 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown. The defense held Nebraska to two field goals and 36 yards rushing. The Gophers led 7-6 at halftime but pulled away in the second half. Minnesota improves to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in conference play. The Gophers are at Iowa next Saturday.
