Governor Walz Proposes $887 Million Infrastructure Plan
(Learfield News/Mankato, MN) — The 887-million-dollar infrastructure plan proposed by Governor Tim Walz Thursday would fund projects to protect drinking water, keep communities safe, and support housing development.
The governor’s bonding bill would also invest a new Minnesota State Patrol headquarters and provide 10 million dollars for Rapidan Dam recovery efforts.
More than 144 million would go to water and transportation infrastructure, 239 million to public safety projects, 44 million to housing and updating the Minneapolis Veterans Home, and 395 million to maintain and renovate state facilities, including Minnesota State and U of M buildings.
