Governor Walz Responds to Republican Cuts in Washington

(St. Paul, MN) — Governor Tim Walz is responding to the cuts coming from House Republicans in Washington. The statement says Minnesota would lose $500 million annually from Medicaid, more than $100 million in tax credits for MNsure enrollees, and $244 million annually in food support. Governor Walz says, “Republicans in Congress are taking away Americans ability to go to the doctor and put food on the table in order to give tax cuts to billionaires.” The Democratic governor goes on to say that the state will not be able to make up for these federal losses.
