Governor Walz Sends Letter to DHS Secretary Noem Over Federal Detention of Children

(Learfield New/St. Paul, MN) – Governor Tim Walz announced Tuesday he has sent a letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem demanding details about Minnesota children held in federal detention.

The governor said Minnesota wants to know the names of the children taken, the number of children taken, and where they’re being held.

The governor talked about the demands during a news conference with education leaders about the fears school children are having during the federal operations in Minnesota.
