HALF DOZEN TORNADOES REPORTED IN SOUTHERN MINNESOTA
The National Weather Service is looking into at least a half dozen tornado reports in southern and southeastern Minnesota. Meteorologist Tyler Hasenstein says rotation was first spotted Wednesday near Alden and Hartland in Freeborn County. He says they were receiving tornado reports for about an hour from weather spotters and storm chasers. There were also reports of tornadoes on the ground in Zumbro Falls, Lake City, Bratsberg and Hokah in southeastern Minnesota. He says there is some damage to farm outbuildings in the Hartland area. No injuries are reported. Parts of Yellow Medicine, Renville and Kandiyohi counties received three to five inches of rain and heavy rains caused flash flooding in the Twin Cities..
