Harriet Elaine Amundson, age 79 of Norcross, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025.
Visitation for Harriet Amundson will be held Friday, December 19, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Herman, MN.
Visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Herman, MN.
Funeral services for Harriet Elaine Amundson will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Herman, Minnesota, with Rev. Craig Palach officiating.
Harriet will be laid to rest beside her husband, Robert, at Lakeside Cemetery, rural Herman. Pallbearers will be John Amundson, David Amundson, Rory (Hope) Amundson, Tayden Amundson, Monte Amundson and Beau Standfuss.
Harriet was born in Morris, Minnesota, and graduated from Hancock High School. She spent most of her life devoted to caring for others, working as a nurse and later in homes for individuals with disabilities. Her compassion, steadiness, and gentle strength touched countless lives.
Family was the center of Harriet’s world. She treasured time spent fishing, playing cards, sewing, and listening to music. Her strong faith in Christ guided her throughout her life and remained a source of comfort and purpose.
She is survived by her sons: John, David, Rory, and Monty Amundson; her siblings: Gerald Hoffman, Carol Skarsten, Luverne (Mary) Hoffman, and Joyce (Rolf) Standfuss; her grandchildren: Anna (Tyler) Bakkila, Nicole Estensen, Kaitlin Amundson, Addison Amundson, and Tayden Amundson; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Harriet was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Robert; her parents and her brother.
