Hazardous Weather Outlook for the Area

The National Weather Service says that starting Wednesday, expect windy conditions across the region.

The Alert will last until Friday afternoon, as the wind will be a factor for most of the area.

A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon.

The main threat will be damaging winds and hail. Additionally, gusty west winds are expected, mainly across southwestern and southern Minnesota. Wind gusts could reach 40 mph in some areas.

With heavy rainfall from the past few days, flooding will be increased near rivers and lakes.
