HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS MOVE THROUGH MONDAY, DAMAGE REPORTED ESPECIALLY NORTH

Strong thunderstorms moved across the area Monday afternoon dropping heavy amounts of rain and also causing some damage.  Power lines were downed near Franklin and power outages were reported in Bird Island and a semi was reportedly blown over on Highway 71 north of Olivia.  Large hail was also reported in the Olivia area, downed trees in Renville and one reported on Fifth North in New Ulm, a grain bin was reportedly blown down along Highway 212 as well as some reports of crop damage.  There were no reported injuries.
