HIGHWAY 4 DETOUR COMING BACK THIS SPRING
MnDOT is planning on reinstating the Highway 4 detour on County Roads 8 and 24 this spring. The Brown County Highway Committee agreed to reinstate the detour for two to four weeks after spring highway load restrictions are lifted. The detour route will include Brown County Road 8 from Highway 14 to County Road 24 as crews complete some minor finishing work near the Cottonwood River Bridge. There is some finishing work to be done south of County Road 24 to St. James and that work is expected to be completed under traffic. Crews are scheduled to return sometime in mid-April.
