HIGHWAY 93 PROJECT PAUSES FOR WINTER
The second year of the three-year Highway 93 construction project at Henderson has wrapped up for the winter. MnDOT says the project this year included completion of the Rush River Bridge, placement of rip rap below the new overflow bridge, levee and watermain work, installation of centerline culvert and erosion control preparation for the winter. Highway 93 has been closed since April 2024 and the project is expected to be finished in late 2026. The project includes raising Highway 93 approximately eight feet raising it one foot above the historic high-water events, reconstructing 3.6 miles of Highway 93 from Highway 169 to Elm Street in Henderson, replacing the Rush River Bridge and constructing an additional overflow bridge to allow for Rush River flood relief.
