Hockey Day Minnesota
(Hastings, MN/Minnesota News Network) — While Hockey Day Minnesota is officially on Saturday, there’s been action in Hastings all week long. It’s the 20th anniversary of a day set aside to celebrate hockey in the State of Hockey and Hastings is preparing for 80,000 hockey fans to be in their city for this years event. This milestone edition of Hockey Day Minnesota will be hosted at the United Heroes League complex providing a stunning backdrop for a one-of-a-kind hockey experience. Fans can expect a showcase of elite high school hockey talent, along with entertainment, winter festivities, and a vibrant Hockey Day Village. The finale of the week of events will take place at Grand Casino Arena on Saturday night as the Wild host the Florida Panthers starting at 8 P-M. Amongst the events taking place at Scheel’s Rink in Hastings include an outdoor game between the Iowa Wild and the Milwaukee Admirals on Friday night at 5 P-M. It’s the first professional outdoor game for Iowa, the Wild’s American Hockey League team with a number of the organizations top prospects.
