Hormel Canned Beef Stew Recall
(Learfield News/Austin, MN) — Austin-based Hormel Foods is recalling over 250,000 pounds of canned beef stew.
Federal health officials have issued this nationwide recall due to potential contamination with wood fragments.
The affected products include 20-ounce cans of “Dinty Moore Beef Stew,” which have a “FEB 2028” best-by date printed on them.
Although there have been no confirmed reports of illness, consumers who have the product at home are advised to either dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase.
