Horticulture Night at WCROC Thursday 7/31
The largest event of the year for the West Central Research and Outreach Center Display Garden — the annual Horticulture Night — will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Display Garden at 46352 State Highway 329 in Morris. The event features vendor and educational booths, food booths, live music, Display Garden tours, farm tours, and a renewable energy demonstration. Admission is free with free will donations accepted.
The 5:30 p.m. Keynote Presentation will be given by Andrew Gapinski, Executive Director of the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, who will discuss “The Work and Importance of University-Based Public Gardens.” Other topics at the educational booths given by experts around the region include Apple Breeding, the Basics of Grafting Vegetables, Life in the Soil, Favorite Perennials, and Restoring Native Prairie Plants for Pollinator Habitat.
