HOUSE CAPITAL INVESTMENT COMMITTEE VISITS NEW ULM

The Minnesota House Capital Investment Committee is continuing their tour around the area as part of an infrastructure tour.  One of the stops was in New Ulm to visit the Center Street Lift Station which is wearing out and has become dangerous for workers to work around.  State Representative Paul Torkelson of Hanska was part of the New Ulm stop and says the plan would be to replace the lift station with a gravity flow system………………………………..TORK

Tork says the gravity flow system would have to buried around thirty feet in the ground due to its location but he thinks the project is deserving of state funding help.  Tork was also part of stops in Morton and Revere.  The tour is stopping in St. Peter, the Mankato Airport, and Henderson among other areas before they head back to the western metro area.
