HPD Getting Tactical Robot

The Hutchinson Police Department is getting a new tactical robot.

The City Council approved a request Tuesday to purchase an ICOR Mini-Caliber Robot at a cost of just under $83,000.

The robot will be used in situations that may be unsafe for officers but within the capabilities of the robot.
