Hutchinson Approves Preliminary Tax Levy

The Hutchinson City Council Tuesday approved the preliminary tax levy for 2026.

Finance Director Andy Reid says the total proposed levy is about $10.14-million:

Reid says that’s an increase of about 3.6 over 2025 on a median priced home:

That figure is based on a median home value being $275,000 (see below).

Final adoption of the levy takes place in late December after the Truth in Taxation Hearing is held earlier.
