Hutchinson Christmas Tree Recycling

Now that Christmas is over, the City of Hutchinson is recycling real Christmas trees again this year.

Recycling Christmas trees is an annual project that city officials say is a benefit to the environment in that the renewable resource provides organic mulch and compost.

There are ten drop-off sites located around Hutchinson that residents can dispose of their real trees from now through January 30.

Officials say all ornaments, tinsel, garland, wire, plastic bags, tree stands, etc. should be removed.
