Hutchinson to Begin City-Wide Spraying for Mosquitoes

The City of Hutchinson is again implementing its mosquito population reduction efforts this year.

The goal of the program is to reduce the number of nuisance mosquitoes.

Along with being a nuisance, some mosquitoes can be the transmitters of several serious diseases.

Officials say larval treatments to storm water ponds usually begin around May 1.

City wide spraying is scheduled to begin Wednesday (May 21), weather permitting.
