Injury Reported After Pickups Collide In Pennington County

A Saint Michael area man was injured in a two vehicle accident Wednesday in Pennington County. 

According to the Minnesota State patrol, Zachary James Emslander (24) was injured when the eastbound 2020 Chevrolet Colorado pickup he was driving collided with a westbound 2017 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by Brett Michael Lofthus, (31) of Grand Forks. 

According to the report, the vehicles collided at Center Street West and 150th Avenue Northwest in Polk Centre Township. Both vehicles came to rest in the south ditch. 

Emslander was taken to the Emergency Room and treated for injuries troopers at the scene described as non-life threatening. Lofthus suffered no apparent injury. Both were wearing seat-belts at the time of the accident reported just after 2:30pm. 

Officials say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
