Installation of LED Signs on SW MN Highways
On Monday (April 14), The Minnesota Department of Transportation will begin installing LED signs along curves on southwest Minnesota Highways.
Officials say signs will be installed on highways in Kandiyohi, Lac qui Parle, Lincoln, Lyon, Pipestone, Redwood, Renville and Yellow Medicine counties.
The LED chevron signs are being installed to provide enhanced safety for motorists.
The signs have simple LED lights powered by a solar panel.
According to MnDOT, they are generally illuminated all day unless it is cloudy for an extended period of time.
