Jamboree Basketball Friday Night
The annual Tim Orth Foundation All Jamboree Basketball Game! The All Jamboree teams consist of basketball players from the Red Rock and Tomahawk conferences. The basketball games are held Friday, March 28th at the GFW School in Winthrop. As in the past, there will be two games, the first will feature the girls’ game and the second will be the boys’ game. The school doors will open at 5:00pm. The first game will begin at approximately 6:00. Prior to the game, there will be a “3 point” shooting contest with a plaque for each of the winners. There will also be a number of professional mascots there,
including the “Bear” from the Utah Jazz, as well as the Utah Jazz Dunk Team, also returning this year is the F-M Acro team doing their gymnastics routine, along with the Rim Rockers and much more.
As always, the profits from this event will be given to individuals with major
medical expenses that have been chosen by the Tim Orth Foundation. This year’s
recipients for the Winthrop event will be Lennon Ludewig, son of Jeremy and
Carly Ludewig of Sleepy Eye. Lennon was diagnosed with B cell lymphoblastic
leukemia x 2. Azaylia Martinez, daughter of Miguel Martinez and Trinity Suess of
New Ulm. Azaylia was born on 12/12/2024 as a premie baby. Cashton Pressley,
son of Carl Pressley and Avia Ramos of New Ulm, Cashton was born on 4/4/24 as
a premie baby. Lukas Merkel, son of Jeff Merkel and Kaitlyn Haas of Sleepy Eye.
Lukas was diagnosed with Autism.
We hope to see many people come out to support this worthy event and enjoy
some great entertainment. Cost is $12.00 for adults, and $10.00 for students, all of
which goes to support these kids in need!
