Jeffrey Dahl

Jeffrey Kenneth Dahl, age 70, passed away at his residence in rural Bagley, MN on Saturday, June 14, 2025. He was born on December 22, 1954, in Cavalier, ND, to Kenneth and Clarice Dahl.

Jeffrey’s life was a testament to faith, hard work, and dedication. Baptized at Walhalla Lutheran Church and later confirmed at Elim Lutheran Brethren Church in Clearbrook, MN, his faith was the cornerstone of his life. When Jeff was 16, his father died. He completed his education in Twin Valley and Bagley, MN, graduating in 1973, before attending for two years at the Association of Free Lutheran Bible School, graduating in 1975. He later earned his Automotive Technician Degree from Bemidji Tech, graduating in 1977.  Jeff returned to Clearbrook, MN, where he met Kathleen Meyer. They were married on March 24, 1979, the day after a snowstorm in Gary, SD. They were blessed with three children: Jeannette, Jordan, and Jonathan.

Jeffrey was a skilled mechanic with a passion for fixing, towing, and helping others. His career took him to various dealerships across Minnesota, including Dondelinger Chevrolet in Bemidji, and at a few dealerships in Willmar, MN. In 1985, they moved to Warroad, MN, where Jeff worked at Marvin Windows in customer service. In 1990, he pursued his dream by starting his own automotive repair shop in Newfolden, MN. He was an ASE-certified technician and served the community by helping people with car repairs, towing and serving his church.  Jeff and Kathy sold the shop in 2019 and purchased a second home where they had planned to retire in Bagley, MN.

Beyond his work, Jeffrey loved sharing Jesus, spending time with his family, and meeting new people. His excitement, kindness, and unwavering faith left a lasting impact on everyone he met.

Jeff is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy Dahl, and children Jeanne (Matt) DeCambaliza, Jordan Dahl, and Jonathan (Sophia) Dahl. His legacy lives on through his precious grandchildren, Susannah, Jeremiah, Hannah, Noah, Elijah, Josiah, Clarisse, and Simon.
