Jets fly by Wild

(St. Paul, MN/Minnesota News Network) — The Minnesota Wild finished their homestand with a whimper as they got crushed 6-2 by the Jets. Minnesota opened the game outshooting Winnipeg 10-0 but a Jets 5 on 3 power play goal on their second shot of the hockey game was the beginning of the end. The followed that up with a pair of goals in the final 10 seconds of the opening period and the Wild never responded. Danilla Yurov and Marcus Johansson both scored for the Wild but suffer the loss as they got 0-2-1 on the three game homestand. Jesper Wallstedt was pulled after 40 minutes after have gave up six goals on 20 shots. Connor Hellebuyck took the win for the Jets on 32 saves as they broke up a nine game road losing streak. Minnesota now heads back to the road to face the Sabres, Maple Leafs and Canadiens starting tomorrow morning with an 11:30 A-M puck drop from Buffalo.
