John “Jack” Mertz

John “Jack” Mertz, age 81, a lifelong farmer and resident of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, passed away September 26, 2025, at Prairie Senior Cottages in New Ulm, Minnesota. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church – North Entrance in Sleepy Eye. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
