Josh Metellus Goes To IR
The Minnesota Vikings won’t have one of their most versatile defensive player for the rest of the season. The team placed safety Josh Metellus on injured reserve yesterday. Metellus is expected to have season-ending surgery on an injured shoulder later this week. Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell.
The sixth-year defensive back has two interceptions and a half sack this season. He is the second player this week who has been announced as having a season-ending injury. Linebacker Jonathan Greenard (GRUH-nard) will all undergo shoulder surgery. The Vikes had four players who didn’t practice yesterday, including Brian O’Neill, Christian Darrisaw, Ryan Kelly, and Javon Hargrave. The Vikings visit the Giants on Sunday at noon. Giants defensive tackle Kayvon Thibodeaux was one of four players missing from practice.
