Judith Bluth

Judy Bluth, age 87 of Morris, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota.

Visitation for Judy Bluth will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Morris, MN.

Memorial services for Judith Bluth will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at First Lutheran Church in Morris, with Reverend Matthew Orendorff officiating.

Judy was born in Bemidji, MN, on October 5, 1938, to Ole and Helena (Michaelson) Paulson. She was 4th in a line of 5 girls, Geraldine, Joan, Bernadette, and Claudia, all of whom preceded her in death.

Judy graduated from Bemidji High School in 1956. After High School, she attended Bemidji State University attaining a B.S. It was around this time she met and wed Richard (Dick) Bluth.

The pair moved to Morris in 1963, where Dick built and managed the A & W Drive-In, and Judy began her teaching career. She taught at Morris Elementary School until she retired.

Judy was an avid reader and a constant at the Morris Public Library. If she wasn’t reading a book she was probably working at one of the multiple organizations around town she was involved with. She loved getting together with friends; teacher lunches and Thursday “discussion group” were favorites.

Judy passed away celebrating Thanksgiving with her family on November 27, 2025 at the age of 87.

She is survived by one son: Willie (Sandy) of Minneapolis, MN; one daughter: Mary (Paul) Kempton of Baxter, MN; four grandchildren: Chloe, Noah, Andrew, and Collin; one brother-in-law: Gary (Pat) Bluth of Baxter, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband: Dick, and her four sisters: Geraldine, Joan, Bernadette, and Claudia.
