Kandiyohi County Flood Emergency Declaration Update

Kandiyohi County has activated a Crisis Clean-Up Hotline to assist members of the public to record flood impacts from the storm and flooding that hit the county June 13-16.

The public can call the hotline at 320–270–3766 to register their individual flood related impacts, particularly to homes.

Officials say that information will be provided to relief organizations and the Long-Term Recovery Group for the next phase of disaster assessment and planning.

Households are encouraged make a report as soon as possible.

For persons interested in assisting local organizations helping neighbors displaced or severely impacted by the storm, officials say the Willmar Area Response Fund at the Willmar Area Community Foundation is the only endorsed charitable fund locally for disasters.
