9:00-10:30 am @ Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Activity Center, Hutchinson, MN
Enter via the north door.  Admission is free and open to the public.  Bring a coffee cup and a friend and enjoy treats and fellowship.  Speaker for the event will be Scott Nelson from AARP      presenting the topic:  Scams and AI.  Event sponsored by Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Health Ministry Council.

A “We Appreciate our Veterans” Lunch will be provided on Saturday, February 22nd from 11a-1p  at the Hutchinson Elks Lodge.  Meal is completely free to Veterans and their families.  Other Veterans Resource material will be available at the event.

A “Soup Cook Off” with four local churches participating will be held at Gaylord United Church of Christ on Sunday, February 23, 11:00-1:00.  Come and try a variety of different soups.  A free will donation will be accepted and proceeds will be donated to the Sibley County Food Shelf.

Waverly Knights of Columbus Ham Supper,  Meat Raffle AND Bingo (with free popcorn & coffee)

Date/Time:  Saturday,  March 1st:  from 4 pm to 7pm …(Bingo to Follow Dinner at 7pm)

Prizes for Bingo:  Frozen Turkeys, Ham OR Cold Cash!

Location:  St Mary’s Parish Center – 303 6th St N, Waverly

Menu:  Sliced Ham , augratin potatoes, salad, hot vegetable, rolls & butter …. coffee, milk and desert will be served.  Takeout’s available

The cost is:  $15.00 for adults …$5.00 for children 5 – 12 years old…children under 4 years old get in FREE

Peace Lutheran Church of Hutchinson is holding their Occasional Sale on Thursday, March 6th from 10a-6p.  A portion of the proceeds will go toward Youth Missions and Community Outreach.  (Cash Only please, $50 bill or less)

The Silver Lake Knights of Columbus Fish Fry is Friday, March 7 from 4:30 pm til 7 (or until gone) at the Silver Lake Auditorium.

Kimball Lions annual Lenten Fish Fry, March 7th, held at Kimball Legion Club from 4:30-7:00pm or until gone.    Adults $15, Children 12 and under $8 Children 5 and under FREE!  Serving fish, potato salad, beans, bread, dessert and beverage of coffee, milk and water. Dine in or Take Out.

Hutchinson’s 2025 Community Book Read is “Gunflint Falling, Blowdown in the Boundaray Waters” by Minnesota Author Cary Griffith.  A Community Book Discussion will be held on Sunday, March 23rd at the Depot inHutchinson starting at 2 pm.

First Ev. Lutheran Church of Glencoe will hold its 74th Annual Potato Pancake & Sausage Dinner on Sunday, March 30 from 9 AM – 1 PM at 925 13th St E, Glencoe.  Serving pancakes (potato and regular), sausages, applesauce, cheese, and beverages.   Dine-in or take-out.  Advance tickets available for $14 and at Door for $15. Children under 10 years, $6.

The Dassel Cokato Agstravaganza is coming up on Friday, April 4th from 5-7 pm at DC High School.  Serving a Pulled Pork or Fish Dinner, Presentations from FFA Students, Raffles, Activities and more!  Everyone is welcome to attend.  Free Will Donation for Meal.

Hutchinson’s 2025 Community Book Read is “Gunflint Falling, Blowdown in the Boundaray Waters” by Minnesota Author Cary Griffith. A Meet the author program will be Saturday, April 12th at 2 pm at the Mcleod County Historical Society in Hutchinson.

Alumni and Friends of Brownton High School, are asked to save the date of Saturday, July 26, 2025, as that will be when the next Brownton All School Reunion will be held. A mailing was sent to graduates of Brownton High School with more information. Graduates of McLeod West High School are also invited. The Reunion Event will be held Saturday, July 26 at the Brownton Area Civic Center with a Social beginning at 5:00 pm, meal at 6:30 pm, followed by a program and music. The Reunion will be held in conjunction with the ‘Brownton Days’, also being held that weekend. More information can be found on Facebook, at “Brownton All School Reunion”.
