KDUZ/KARP/KGLB Community Calendar
Circle Thursday, January 22nd, on your calendar and join us in the Lakeside Elementary Gym in Silver Lake for a great evening of music featuring the 5th Grade Band, 6th Grade Band, and the 5th & 6th Grade Choir performing at their best! The Concert begins at 6:30 pm and will include a variety of music. The Bands are directed by Annie Nyholm and the Choir is directed by Carrie Knott.

French toast breakfast benefitting Lisa McColley and Naomi Kurth will be on Sunday, Jan 25th from 8a-Noon at Buffalo Lake Community Center, Buffalo Lake. Serving French Toast, Scrambled Eggs, Sausage and a Beverage.

Shady Lane Sportsmens Club has their Gun Bingo on Saturday, January 31st at the Backwoods Bar in New Auburn. Doors open at 3 pm, Bingo at 4 pm. Limited seating available. Contact Cheri at 320-510-2395 or Dawn at 320-420-0010. Proceeds support the Pheasant Raise and Release program, Youth Gun Safety, and Corn Feeds for Wildlife.

The BLHS FFA Alumni Ice Fishing Contest will be held on Saturday, January 31st on Lake Allie. Registration at Noon at the Oakdale Golf Club Parking Lot, Fishing from 2-5 pm. $5 entry fee per person. Concessions will be available, Prizes awarded throughout the day. Plus, join them for Fireworks after the Event. Proceeds support BLHS FFA.

It’s the SLEEPY EYE SPORTSMAN’S CLUB 44th ANNUAL FISHING Derby to be held SUNDAY FEBRUARY-1st FROM 12-3 PM on Sleepy Eye Lake. Registration begins at 9:30 am. 3 CASH PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED IN 6 CATEGORIES, Sunfish, Crappie, Perch, Bass, Walleye, Northern. Entry fee is $5.00 per person for the contest. This year we will be the raffling an ICE CASTLE FISH HOUSE, with a value of $22,000 and a ATV-4wheeler valued at $7,500 plus 4-$500 cash prizes and 4- $250 cash prizes. ANY CHILDREN ENTERING FISHING DERBY WILL BE GIVEN A PRIZE UNTIL GONE. ALSO KIDS 15 YEARS AND UNDER WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN A YOUTH LIFETIME FISHING LICENSE, ONE BOY &; ONE GIRL. PROCEEDS GO TO LOCAL PARKS AND LAKES PROJECTS AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS.
