Kevin Olson

Kevin Olson, age 58 of Wheaton, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Sanford Hospital in Wheaton, Minnesota.

Visitation for Kevin Olson will be held Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service and Time of Sharing at 6:30 p.m. at Bethlehem Covenant Church in Wheaton, MN.

Visitation will continue from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Bethlehem Covenant Church in Wheaton, MN.

Funeral services for Kevin Olson will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Bethlehem Covenant Church in Wheaton, MN, with Pastor Tim Shekleton officiating.

Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, rural Wheaton, MN. Pallbearers will be Lidus Blaeser, Steve Svee, Jon Nelk, Kelly Peyton, Kevin Leininger, Jason Pearson, Scott Tobeck, Curt Schmidt, and Bradley G. Larson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kevin’s many, many friends.

Lovingly known as “Oly”, Kevin was born on March 29, 1966 in Wheaton, Minnesota to Marlon and Myrna (Niesche) Olson. He grew up in Wheaton and graduated from Wheaton High School in 1984. Kevin worked with his dad doing carpentry work from the age of 15. After graduation Kevin attended Moorhead State University and studied business. Kevin worked at ICI Top Pork north of Wheaton, MN. In 1994, The Olson family purchased the Wheaton Liq and Kevin began working there.

Kevin loved old cars. He collected and restored many old cars. He enjoyed hunting deer and pheasants as well as fishing.

Kevin is survived by his mother Myrna of Wheaton and several cousins.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father Marlon; his grandparents: Elvin and Hazel Olson; and Fred and Iva Niesche; and one uncle Robert Palmquist.
