Knicks Dominate Second Half to Cruise Past Timberwolves, 137–114

OG Anunoby poured in 25 points, while Jalen Brunson added 23 points, 10 assists, and seven rebounds as the New York Knicks overpowered the Minnesota Timberwolves, 137–114, on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.

Josh Hart chipped in 18 points for the Knicks, who took control after halftime to remain unbeaten at home this season, improving to 5–0 at the Garden.

Anthony Edwards returned to Minnesota’s lineup after missing four games with a strained right hamstring, scoring 15 points in 29 minutes. However, the Timberwolves were outscored by 25 points while he was on the floor.

New York dominated the effort categories, outrebounding Minnesota on the offensive glass 21–8 and converting those extra chances into 31 second-chance points. After trailing by four at the half, the Knicks exploded offensively, outscoring the Wolves 83–56 over the final two quarters.

Julius Randle led all scorers with 32 points, and Donte DiVincenzo added 21 in their first game against their former team since being traded to Minnesota last season in the deal that sent Karl-Anthony Towns to New York. Towns finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Randle set the tone early with 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting in the first half, while DiVincenzo—who set a Knicks record with 283 three-pointers in the 2023–24 season—knocked down four triples and scored 12 as Minnesota took a 58–54 lead into halftime.
