KOC, Darnold win awards
(Charlotte, NC) — Hot off a 14-3 record in the regular season the Vikings landed a couple of awards from The Sporting News as chosen by 800 N-F-L players. Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell was named Sporting News Coach of the Year while Quarterback Sam Darnold was awarded the Comeback Player of the Year. Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, who rushed for 2,005 yards and 13 touchdowns, and Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, who recorded 14 sacks for the second season in a row were announced N-F-L Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year respectively. Commanders Q-B Jayden Dainels was named Rookie of the Year.
