LAFAYETTE MAN HURT IN SIBLEY COUNTY CRASH

The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office was called to a one-vehicle crash at 9:23 Sunday evening at the intersection of County Roads 8 and 2 about three miles south of Gibbon.  Authorities say 41-year-old Brian Carlson of Lafayette was driving an SUV  south on County Road 2, went into the ditch and crashed into a tree.  Carlson sustained minor injuries and the vehicle was heavily damaged.  The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.  Winthrop police and ambulance, Gibbon Fire and Five Star Towing assisted at the scene.
