Lake City Hosting Gov’s Fishing Opener

(Learfield News/Lake City, MN) — The 76th Minnesota Governor’s Fishing Opener kicks off this morning (Fri) in Lake City in the southeast corner of the state.

Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan are taking part of several activities today including a community celebration this evening.

There will be an opening day launch ceremony Saturday morning before they go fishing on Lake Pepin.
