Law Enforcement Arrest More Than 2,000 for DWI Over the Holiday Season
Law enforcement across the state made more than 2,000 DWI arrests over the holiday season.
The increased enforcement campaign ran from November 27th through December 31st. Troopers, deputies and police officers made 2,079 driving while impaired arrests in Minnesota.
The highest Blood Alcohol Content for an arrested driver came in at .41. The driver was arrested by the Elk River Police Department.
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety’s Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) coordinated the campaign, which included extra enforcement, with funding provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
